Specialises in local game meat (“gibier”) products. The chilli and curry were surprisingly spicy for Japanese food. Really has a kick. There is also outdoor seating with a great view of the river.

Burger restaurant at the Oboke roadside station. It is quite lovely because you can seat outside and really soak in the beauty of the Yoshino river. The meals are mostly with game (boar and venisons). There is a kid menu available. We had the avocado game burger that we shared with my partner (you pay a little bit extra for the burger to be cut in half). It was alright and quite filling.

Amazing. We stopped just to get coffee but decided to do an early lunch. It was well worth it. Really tasty burgers made from wild boar and deer meat, well seasoned with a delicious pickled vegetable topping. Sitting outside on the deck overlooking the gorge made it even better.

The view is spectacular! I arrived early so there is no wait, and the chef made the burger from scratch so it took maybe 10 mins. Ordered the Boar & Venison burger (イノシカバーガー) set meal with some fries and a special green tea latte. ¥1900 (April 2025) The burger is very good, though I can’t taste much of the meat as the sauce is strong and pickled crunchy. The fries are fresh and thin and the matcha latte okay. I would say I come to hunt new cuisine for fun and looking at the magnificent gorge view. And the meal could not surprise me as the view has been. But after I was leaving there is a throng of customers ordered and waiting for their meal, I bet this place is very popular. (Also because there aren’t many choices around)

The food here was surprisingly good. The game patty was very springy, thick and meaty and juicy. Loco moco sauce was rich and satisfying. Neve expected a road side cafe to taste as good as a restaurant but it definitely does. The burgers here looked hellishly good as well. Definitely recommend a stop at this cafe if you’re hungry. And for the great views.
